My Summer Topshop Picks

I've been loving Topshop at the moment, especially their summer collection. I have picked out some of my favourites and I thought I would share them with you :)

This white lace dress is gorgeous and is perfect for a hot and humid day. It will look gorgeous with a tan and neon accessories.
These daisy print shorts are a great take on the cult denim shorts with a summery twist. They would look great with a crisp white shirt, stiletto heels and a red lip.

I admit this isn't very summery but it's so me I had to include it. The contrast of denim and mesh is very on trend at the moment. So even though this dress isn't great for the sun, you will look very fashionable on a night out. I would pair this with a chunky necklace like the one below, chunky heels and a nude pink lip.
Chunky chains are very popular this summer. I happen to own this exact one and love it to pieces, it just goes with everything!! When you are wearing quite a plain outfit, chuck this on and you instantly look like you made more effort. (And who doesn't want to make little effort but look great?!)

I know I am a short girl so I shouldn't wear maxi things but I just love them so much!! The print of this dress is gorgeous and it also means you can tie in different coloured accessories and lipstick. I love the synched in waist as it accentuates my curves. This would look great with an oversized handbag, a studded belt and a trilby.

Neons are this summers must haves. Everyone is going mad for them. Bags, trousers, shoes, you name it. They look great with a tan and will jazz up any plain outfit, or if your really outgoing pair them with patterns.

Kimonos are this years answer for a summery cover up. They are light weight and come in some lovely styles, patterns and colours so there will always be one which suits you. I don't own one as of yet but I'm sure I will be purchasing one for my holiday as they also look great over a bikini.

Hope you enjoyed this post and follow me if you would like to see more of this :)

My Favourite Lipsticks

Hi, my name is Bethan Maidment and I am a lipstick-aholic.

I have always been a lover of lipsticks rather than balms or glosses. I just love buying a new colour whenever I get paid. Even if I have the colour already but its the slightest shade darker I will still think I need it. However as large as my collection may be, these three still come out on top!!

The Kate Moss Matte lipsticks for Rimmel London are my ultimate favourite so ultimately I have chosen two. The other is a Barry M Lip Paint. I am not a huge fan of their lip paints however this one was such an odd colour that I just had to have it.

The first one is by Rimmel in this deep blood red colour, number 107. I just love this one as it goes with most of my wardrobe. I wear a lot of black and white which without a bold lip would look quite boring but I love to jazz things up. Girls who can wear black lipstick I salute you but this is as dark as I'm willing to go at the moment. This colour is especially good on nights out, it gives such a sexy look.

This next one is by Rimmel again and is in this subtle pink colour with blue undertones, number 101. I bought it originally to replace my Creme Cup by Mac lipstick but I now think about it this is more of a dupe for Snob by Mac. Even so I still love it all the same and it is great to chuck on when you are in a hurry. It also goes great when you have a patterned outfit on so that all the attention is on your clothing and is not drawn away by your lip colour. As I love to wear pattern this is perfect for me.

The last lipstick is by Barry M and is in this gorgeous lilac colour, number 129. Now at first it does look scary but it actually come out as a pale shine on the lips as you can see in the swatch below. I first saw youtuber voussontbeauetbelle aka. Becca, speaking about this lipstick and it looked gorgeous on her so I thought why not. I now love it, it is such a summery colour and is great for those days when you want a little something different but not too obvious.

Ghostly Happenings

I absolutely love being scared out of my mind, even though I am scared of the dark!! I just like the adrenaline and afterwards I know I won't be able to sleep for a few nights however I just can't help myself. I watch endless amounts of scary films and I still never learn.

I just found some good photos from a ghost tour my flatmate and I went on!!
When I used to live in Edinburgh we decided it would be a good idea to go on a ghost tour, it was great. Lucy was touched by a 'ghost' on the back of the leg and we think we even caught some in a photo!! (plus our tour guide was rather cute) I would recommend these tours highly if you ever in Edinburgh :)

I also managed to get a quick photo of my outfit in Princes Street gardens.
OOTD - H&M Leather Jacket, Genuine Tartan Scarf, H&M Fashion Against Aids Crop Top, American Apparel Disco Pants, Primark Black Plimsoles.

We saw some amazing street art, I'm not sure who these are by but they are amazing, they were huuuuge!!

Don't mind Lucy's crazy face, but this is the ghost photo. After the tour we were sitting in a bar and I zoomed in on this photo to see 3 hooded looking figures just over Lucy's left shoulder (our right). We were soooo creeped out!!

Do you like scaring yourself and not caring about the consequences after?? :)
